Rajouri : A large number of people were screened for Heart ailments here at a special health check-up camp organised by district hospital to mark world health day.
Dr. Jamil Ul Hassan Consultant Medicine along with the staff of non communicable diseases Clinic examined and investigated more than two hundred patients to rule out non communicable diseases especially the Heart related ailments.
The patients were imparted knowledge and awareness regarding prevention of heart diseases and role of exercise, Nutrition management, life style management, Yoga etc for keeping their heart healthy.
Medical Superintendent Dr. Mehmood H Bajar kick started a separate well equipped Thrombolysis room on the occasion for early intervention and Thrombolysing for the patients being brought in the hospital emergency with Myocardial Infarction to save the life of the patients during golden hours.
The Medical Superintendent said around 52 cases suffering from different heart ailments have been registered in non communicable diseases Clinic of the hospital since April 2018 to September 2018.
While briefing about the importance of celebrating the day, the Medical Superintendent said World Heart Day is a campaign established to spread awareness about the health of heart among common people across the world.
