Ramban : District Development Commissioner (DDC) Shouka tAjaz Bhat Wednesday flagged off three day training tour of a group of Beekeepers to SKUAST (Kashmir) .
The Agriculture farming Training Tour Program has been organized by Agriculture Department Ramban under Apiculture Development Scheme.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC informed that in view huge potential of Apiculture farming in district Ramban a group of 40 progressive farmers was sent for three day awareness tour to SKUAST-K. He said spotting the potential of bee-keeping as a source of employment, the government is working on plans to promote innovative farming.
While interacting with touring farmers, he advised them to participate with full interest in training sessions to be conducted by the scientists and experts.
District Agriculture Officer, Subash Chander Sharma, Assistant Soil Conservation Officer, Alyas Akhter Gattu, SDAO, Madan Gopal Singh, Lone APO, Rafiq Ahmed and K.K Khoda SCA Ramban also present on the occasion. Apiculture Development Assistant, Ayaz Ahmed Rishi will accompany the farmers during the tour.
