Chairman State Commission for Backward classes meets Governor

SRINAGAR : S Jeet Lal Gupta, Chairman, State Commission for Backward Classes, met Governor Satya Pal Malik at the Raj Bhavan today and extended warm greetings to Malik on his appointment as Governor of J&K.
Gupta briefed Governor about the functioning of the Commission and the various steps being taken to promote and protect the social, educational, economic and cultural interests of the Backward Classes in the State. He also apprised Governor about the various important matters concerning the Backward Classes which are still pending decision at various levels.

Governor stressed the high importance of all required measures being taken for protecting and advancing the interest of the Backward Classes.
