Srinagar: Five militants were killed in an encounter that raged between forces and militants in an encounter at Shukbaba area in Sumlar village of Bandipora.
Police said that the slain militants were affiliated with Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT), stating that apparently they were part of freshly infiltrated group.
“Huge quantity of arms, ammunition and incriminating material was recovered from the site of encounter,” Police said, adding that police has registered a case and investigation is going on. (KNS)
