Srinagar, Sep 16: The Jammu and Kashmir Chief Electoral Officer on Sunday announced nine phase poll schedule for conducting Panchayat elections in the state.
Addressing a press conference in Srinagar Sunday morning, the Chief Electoral Officer Shalin Kabra said “for phase one notification will be issued on 23rd October, phase second 26 October, phase 3rd 29 October, phase four 1st November, phase five 3rd November phase six 6 November, phase seven 9 November, phase eight 12 November and phase nine 14th November.”
Announcing the dates of polling for all the nine phases, the chief electoral officer said “the polling will be held for phase one 17 November, phase two 20 November, phase three 24 November, phase four 27 November, phase five 29 November, phase six 1st December, phase seven 4 December, phase eight 8 December and phase nine 11 December.
