Srinagar : Chairman PDF and MLA Khansahib, Hakeem Yaseen on Friday expressed concern over the colossal loss caused to the crops due to hailstorm that hit orchards and agriculture farms in various areas of Khansahib and Budgam Wednesday evening.
He asked the district administration Budgam to constitute joint teams comprising officers of Revenue, agriculture and horticulture to assess the losses caused to the crops due to the hailstorm so that case for adequate ex-gratia relief could be formed in favour of the hailstorm victims.
He has also demanded free ration for 3 months to the affected farmers He has also urgent the need to provide expert advice to the affected farmers by the scientists of agriculture university and agriculture department.
