Srinagar: The martyrdom day of second Caliph of Islam Hazrat Umar-e-Farooq (RA) observed Saturday across the world as well as in Kashmir with religious fervor.
Thousands of devotees from across the valley thronged Hazratbal, Jenab Sahib Soura, Asar Sharief Sheri Kailashpora, Kabamarg Anantnag, Asar Sharief Peth-Muqaam Beerwah and Aham Sharief Bandipora Shrines.
On the occasion, faithful were treated to the glimpse of Holy relics at the shrines followed by special prayers, salutations and supplications.
