Srinagar : Director School Education Kashmir (DSEK) Dr G.N. Itoo Tuesday said honest and dedicated employees should be given more respect after superannuation in their concerned offices because they act as role models for their successors and subordinates.
He expressed these views in the farewell function organized in honour of OSD IMW DSEK Zahoor Ahmad Banday in the Conference Hall of Directorate of School Education Kashmir. Dr Itoo termed Zahoor Ahmad Banday a very humble and friendly person and who was very prompt in performing his duties.
On the occasion, Joint Directors Abid Hussain, HemrajPakhru and Mehboob Hussain termed Zahoor Ahmad as a role model for other employees. They said the 40 years of long service of Banday towards the Department shall always be remembered.
While expressing his views on the occasion Zahoor Ahmad Banday presented a short sketch of his 40 years’ service career. He said he adopted the profession of teaching by choice and told that teaching has been his family profession for two centuries. He said his great-grandfather in 1812 A.D. was also a teacher and this profession was adopted since then in his family.
At the end of the ceremony Zahoor Ahmad Banday was honoured by DSEK in presence of all officers, officials of DSEK, his brother and sons by presenting him a traditional Kashmiri shawl and other gifts.
