Srinagar : Mir Javed advocate Jammu & Kashmir High Court and member of Civil Society Coordination Committee an intervener in the case on article 35 A pending disposal before the Supreme Court of India has said that panchayat elections in Jammu & Kashmir won’t be allowed toll the Supreme Court dismisses the petitions filed against the constitutional validity of Article 35 A.
Talking to Kashmir Horizon from New Delhi Advocate Mir Javed said “these are cosmetic measures adopted by Jammu & Kashmit Government and as well as Government of India. Adjournment won’t work and central government should take a firm stand against article 35 A in the supreme court instead of trying to create a vote Bank for 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Civil society wants dismissal of the petition from supreme court and won’t allpw panchyet elections till the dismissal of the petitions”.
