Khansahab (Budgam): Chairman PDF and MLA Khansahib Hakeem Yaseen has donated Rs.3 lakhs for ensuring better lighting arrangements in and around various Imambaras in Budgam and Khansahib areas on the eve of ensuing holly Muharam.
While talking to people at a daylong Awami Durbar at Khansahib Wednesday Hakeem Yaseen said that he will personally oversee arrangements to be put in place for convenience of devotees during Muharam days.
Meanwhile, Hakeem Yaseen has asked the district administration Budgam to make adequate and foolproof arrangements for providing adequate and uninterrupted power supply, water supply, food grains to the people especially in Shia dominated areas. He has urged for a robust sanitation drive in and around various Imambaras adding that health department should establish special first aid camps with adequate medical staff on all routes leading to various Imambaras so that devotees may not face any in- convenience.
Hakeem Yaseen has hoped that the ensuing holly Muharam would prove a harbinger of peace and prosperity in the strife torn state.
While appraising the people about the significance of Article 35-A, Hakeem Yaseen said that this Article, incorporated in the Constitution of India in 1952, provides a Constitutional and legal guarantee to the people of the state about their hereditary state subject rights adding that it was untouchable and ir-revocable .He said everybody in the country knows it well that Art.370 and Article 35-A of the Constitution of India can never be tinkered but still some particular political parties are deliberately raising this issue for vote bank politics. He said protection to Article 370 and Article 35-A was a matter of life and death for the people of the state irrespective to region, religion, caste creed and colour.
He has expressed satisfaction that in spite of malicious campaign against Art.35-A, majority of people in all the three regions of the state viz Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh have realized importance of these laws for the posterity.
