Srinagar: In memory of the four innocent youth killed in 2016 on this day in Government Forces assault, the Aripanthan village and its adjacent areas in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district observed a complete shutdown.
Muhammad Ashraf Wani, a businessman; Manzoor Ahmad Lone, a farmer; Javid Ahmad Najar, a carpenter and Javid Ahmad Sheikh, a hairdresser were shot dead by Forces on August 16 during Kashmir unrest that prevailed following the killing of Hizbul Mujhadeen popular militant commander Burhan Wani on July 8, 2016.
All shops and other commercial establishments remained closed while public transport also remained off the roads in the area.
No separatist organization had called for the strike in the area.
