Srinagar: Militant outfit Hizbul Mujhadeen has paid rich tributes to one of its commanders Ali Muhammad Dar alias Burhanuddin Hijazi on his 2oth anniversary.
Twenty years ago, Dar was killed in Rafiabad Baramulla gun battle.
“Dar was not a great rebel but a man of principles. He was an epitome of truth and true follower of Islam and Prophet (PBUH),” the Hizb Chief Syed Salahuddin said in a statement to local news gathering agency CNS.
He said Dar sacrificed everything for the ongoing Kashmir Freedom Movement. “His blood drops motivated hundreds to be part of this Movement,” he said adding that freedom struggle will continue till it is taken to logical conclusion.
Hizb Deputy Chief Saifullah Khalid, Commander Shamsher Singh and Taj Ali Shah also paid rich tribute to Dar.
