Mehbooba continues to sip from the cup of poison, Omar on RS voting row

Srinagar: Upping the ante at Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti over her party’s decision to abstain from voting in the elections to elect Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha, National Conference Vice President omar Abdullah said she continues to sip from the cup of poison and blame others for her headaches.
Reacting to reports that PDP’s absence during the voting will benefit BJP-led NDA, Mr Abdullah said this is why Ms Mehbooba and her social media army were upset with him yesterday.
“This is why @MehboobaMufti & her social media army were upset with me yesterday. She continues to sip from the cup of poison & blames the rest of us for her headaches,” Mr Abdullah, who is the former chief minister of the state, wrote on micro-blogging site twitter.
The NC Vice President was referring to a war of words on twitter between him and Ms Mehbooba on Tuesday over the RS voting issue.
Mr Abdullah and Ms Mehbooba on Tuesday clashed on twitter after the former alleged that PDP has assured support to both Congress and BJP in the upcoming polls for the post of Deputy Chairman in Rajya Sabha.
“@MehboobaMufti has told the Congress she will support the UPA candidate for #RajyaSabha Vice Chairman. She’s also told the BJP she will support the NDA candidate. How does that work exactly?” Mr Abdullah, who is the former chief minister of the state, wrote on micro-blogging site twitter.
However, Ms Mehbooba, who is also a former chief minister of the state, was quick to respond to the allegation, claiming that Mr Abdullah was fabricating stories based on pure fiction.
“…baffling when a politician like @OmarAbdullah fabricates stories based on pure fiction. Such dangerous propaganda is detrimental to the truth & an attempt to mislead people,” she wrote on twitter.
Ms Mehbooba also twitted an emoji with a long nose to which Mr Abdullah alleged that the PDP chief’s account was being handled by someone else. “…hats off to whoever operates your account for you. They actually have a sense of humour. Nice emoji use,” the NC vice president said.
“Again fake news! Give a compliment where its due Omar,” Ms Mehbooba replied.
