Jammu: In order to streamline regulatory procedures across the State, the Drug & Food Control, Organization J&K held a sensitization program at Jammu for adopting XLN Software for online Licensing System. The Software is developed and maintained by NIC Gujarat.
The Controller, Drug and Food Control Organization J&K, Lotika Khajuria during the inaugural session expressed hope that the enforcement staff shall be able to devote more time towards their regulatory duties as the existing licensing procedures consume most of their time.
Pankaj Pathak, Technical Director NIC Gujarat who conducted the workshop explained its merit and success across the 17 states. He highlighted that this software shall help to prevent further use of any drug found of poor quality and also monitors working of enforcement staff to lend more transparency & accountability in the existing regulatory structure.
The J&K as of now has 6397 wholesale establishments and 14093 retail sale pharmacies. The Stakeholders shall get immensely benefited by adopting this software as the same shall exempt them from avoidable procedural hassles.
