Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday said two persons who were caught on camera assaulting traffic cops at Polo View have been arrested.
“A video went viral, wherein, Scooty borne youth, assaulted traffic police party at Polo View while the traffic cops were discharging professional duties. Cognizance was taken by Police Station Kothibagh and an FIR No 71/2018 under section 353 RPC was registered,” said a police spokesman. One of the culprits, identified as Mir Nauman of BK Pora Nowgam, was arrested during the course of investigation. “In continuation with the investigation of the case, one more accused Mir Hanan resident of B. K. Pora, Nowgam was also arrested,” he said.
