Srinagar: The family members and relatives of slain Barzulla militant on Monday took to roads again in Srinagar to demand his mortal remains.
Bhat, according to his family members, was killed in Kupwara gunfight on June 30. On that day, army had claimed to have killed an unidentified militant in a gunfight at Tunga top forests of Kachama Handwara. Scores of women relatives of Mudasir Ahmad Bhat gathered at the Barzulla bridge and raised slogans to demand his mortal remains.
Traffic movement came to a standstill for over 20 minutes due to the protest.
The state police chief SP Vaid has said that the body will be handed over to the next of kin after they receive DNA report.
