DLTFC approves 116 projects under PMEGP

Reasi: District Level Task Force Committee (DLTFC) headed by Additional District Development Commissioner Romesh Chander approved 116 projects including 47 projects of Manufacturing units (viz. bakery products, Atta chakki, parshad, mild products etc.) and 69 projects of servicing units (viz. Xerox centre, shuttering, Dhaba etc.) for setting up of micro enterprises under Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) sponsored by District Industries Centre (DIC), Reasi.

The Committee comprising of General Manager, DIC Anil Kumar Thakur, Functional Manager Virender Kumar, Lead District Manager SBI B.K Sharma, Director RSETI Mukesh Bansal, Divisional Manager SC/ST/OBC Satpal Sharma, District Officer KVIB Mohd Qasim and representatives of various financial institutions screened and scrutinized 117 cases and 115 projects were selected for credit linkage through financial institutions after thorough analysis of viability of proposed projects and the entrepreneurial skills of the applicants.

Giving details, GM DIC informed that cases from rural areas with project cost upto Rs. 10 lakh under service sector and Rs. 25 lakh under manufacturing sector have been recommended in the DLTFC.

He said, “These cases will be processed in a time bound manner for sanctioning of loan and each entrepreneur will be facilitated and guided in setting up of unit till it turns out to be profit yielding enterprise.”

All the proprietors approved for projects were directed to further undergo EDB training in RSETI (SBI) at Reasi under supervision of Director, RSETI Mukesh Bansal.

Further, 74 out of 77 cases of KVIB were also approved by the DLTFC. All the cases approved have been forwarded to respective banks for sanctioning and release of 1st loan installment enabling them to get 25% to 35% subsidy (MM) from KVIC (GOI) under PMEGP.
