Poonch: Jammu and Kashmir Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB) Thursday organized an awareness camp regarding National Scheduled Caste Scheduled Tribe Hub (NSSH) at village Marhot Tehsil Surankote in Poonch.
Financial Advisor and Chief Accounts Officer, Mohd Ashraf Iqbal Haqla of the Board was the chief guest on the occasion.
While addressing the gathering, FA/CAO, KVIB briefed about NSSH and said it is an initiative of the Government of India that would develop new entrepreneurs from SC/ST community to participate in procurement processes leveraging on the ‘Stand-up India’ program.
He also emphasized upon the unemployed youth belonging to SC-ST community to become job providers instead of hankering for government jobs.
District Officer KVIB Poonch Sameer Ahmad Mir impressed upon participants to avail benefits of various schemes under KVIB and inspire others to get benefits.
Director RSETI, LDM Poonch, Horticulture Development Officer and SDAO also informed the gathering about SCST Hub scheme and its benefits in upliftment of the community.
District Officer KVIB Rajouri and Poonch, Sameer Ahmad Mir, Director RSETI, LDM, Functional Manager DIC, Assistant Director Handloom, H.D.O, S.D.A.O, representatives of SC/ST, Surankote, Rep of self employment and large number of masses SC/ST related and other functionaries were also present on the occasion.
