Srinagar: With the month of Ramadhan coming to a close, cycling events in Kashmir are likely to start out. One such event sponsored by Noora Hospital is taking place in the next week in district, Budgam.
On Tuesday, one of the star cricketers of jammu and Kashmir, Manzoor Pandav, in presence of the Managing Director of Noora Hospital and Akbar Khan Brand ambassador of NOORA HOSPITAL and Danish marketing head of NOORA HOSPITAL unveiled *Noora Hospital Cycling Cup*. The event takes place at Check-i-Kawoosa of Budgam district next week. The two teams taking part in the event are *Predator Hawks Kanihama* and *Kawoosa Riders*.
Speaking on the occasion, Manzoor Ahmad Wagay, the managing director of Noora Hospital emphasised on the benefits of cycling for common masses. “Cycling runs on fat, not fuel. It’s the easiest way to exercise. It also strengthens our cardiac system. Manzoor Ahmad Wagay said while addressing the media. This kind of cycling championship is going to be held for the first time in Kashmir.
All the top cyclists of Kashmir were present on the occasion besides Danish Ul Islam Manager business relations of Noora Hospital.
Organising secretary of the event Akbar Khan who is also the incumbent brand ambassador of Noora Hospital said, “We are going to make it an annual event; and it will be conducted every year”. Gukzar Ahmad Khan, the secretary Sheikh Ul Alam sports association , was also present. “This season, we are going to organise more and more long distance races for the cyclists so that they can prepare themselves for the upcoming national championship; and hopefully, they will be able to bring laurels to the state, Gulzar Almad Khan said while speaking to the media.
