Srinagar: Stressing upon the judicial officers to dispose of all old cases on priority, – Senior Judge High Court of Jammu and Kashmir, Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey directed that by the end of the year 2018, no case of ten year old or more should be pending in any court.
Justice Magrey who being the Administrative Judge for District Srinagar also instructed the Judicial Officers to be litigant friendly and ensure proper pace is maintained for disposal of family matters, matters pertaining to maintenance and dishonor of cheques.
Justice Magrey who is also the member of e-Courts Committee for the High Court directed the Judicial officers to make maximum use of information technology in their daily court proceedings so that the benefits of the same reach to the general public.
Justice Magrey was speaking during a surprise visit to the District Court Complex Moominabad Srinagar, where took stock of the progress of work and other co-related infrastructure issues concerning the complex.
He was accompanied by Judge High Court of J&K Justice M K Hanjura, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar and other officers.
He also stressed upon the need for proper hygiene and sanitation within the premises of the Court Complex and on spot directed the Municipal Commissioner Srinagar to speed up the progress of work and provide suitable manpower for the upkeep of the Court complex till permanent arrangement is made.
