Srinagar: Reiterating that centre was ready to hold talks with all stakeholders, Union Home Minster Rajnath Singhon Thursday said for initiating dialogue like minded is not necessary but right minded is necessary.
We have appointed our representative Dineshwar Sharma who has visited Jammu and Kashmir 17 times not for picnic but to hold talks with stakeholders, Mr Singh told a news conference here this afternoon.
“ Talks can be held with everyone”, he said adding like minded is not necessary but right minded is necessary”. “ Come forward as we cannot lost one more generation”, he added
However, he did not answer when repeatedly pressed if a formal invitation is sent to Hurriyat Conference (HC) for talks saying whatever I had to say I have said it several times.
Without naming separatists, he said people are sending their wards to schools but give stones on the hands of other boys.
“Misleading to youths is not only deceiving them but a crime”, he said adding they (separatists) want to play with fire and incite youth to indulge in stone pelting as they donot want situation to improve in Kashmir.
“ I appeal to all to consider every child of Kashmir as their own children”, he said adding they are welcome to play politics but not with the future of these children.
Describing Kashmiri youths as very talented, the Union Home Minister said some forces are trying to misguide and mislead them.
People in the entire country have emotional relationship with the youth of Jammu and Kashmir, he said adding they are children of entire India.
He said we decided to withdraw cases of stone pelters to help them to start afresh life and excel in the field of education and sports.
We have withdrawn cases against 10000 youths, he said adding we should not differentiate between our own children and others.
Youths are very talented in the J&K and have cracked IAS, IPS, IIT and won laurels for the country, he said adding “I was told that youths of the state have won 85 Gold Medals in International competitions.
He referred to Tajamul Islam who won gold medal in international Kickboxing championship, who hugged Mr Singh during prize distribution function here today.
He sought help from the media to restore normalcy in the state.
