Udhampur: Udhampur zone today clinched the Boys U/17Yrs district level Inter Zone Cricket tourney – the final match of which was held here at Subash Stadium.
The tournament was organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports and about 104 Boys drawn from eight Zones of District Udhampur took part in the tournament.
In first Semi final match Zone Tikri defeated Zone Jib and entered in the final, while 2nd Semi final match was won by Zone Udhampur by defeating Ramnagar Zone .
The tournament was won by Zone Udhampur by defeating zone Tikri with 09 wickets in the final match. Saksham Thapa was declared man of the match for scoring 33 runs not out.
The matches were officiated by Parminder Manhas, Raj Kumar, Vinod Khajuria, Raman Gupta, Rakesh Kumar, Vinod kumar, Rakesh Khajuria and Ranjit Singh.
Among others present on the occasion were Ram Lal Badyal ZPEO Chanani, Pawan Kumar, ZPEO Panchari, Poonam Sharma, ZPEO Jib, Jasvinder Sigh, Sanjay Gupta, Des Raj, Karun Magotra, Romesh Chander, Subash Chander and Swarndeep Singh Tara.
