Srinagar: Traffic police on Friday issued an advisory for commuters on using the Rambagh-Jehangir Chowk flyover, which was thrown open for traffic Friday.
The commuters travelling to Budgam, Hyderpora, Rawalpora, Baghat Barzulla and Airport can use the flyover for commuting, said a spokesman.
“However, the commuters travelling to Chanapora and Natipora shall adopt Rambagh bridge beneath flyover,” it said.
The spokesman said the traffic on flyover shall be exclusively one way and no traffic in the opposite direction shall be allowed towards Tuslibagh via flyover.
“General public is requested to kindly co-operate,” he said.
Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti inaugurated the phase-I of the Jahangir Chowk-Rambagh flyover stretching from Amar Singh College to Barzulla in Srinagar earlier Friday.
The second phase of the flyover, longest in Kashmir spanning a total length of 1.64 kilometres, is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
