Srinagar/May, 10:  Attendants at Government owned  Lalla Ded hospital in city centre in summer capital Srinagar on Thursday staged a protest demonstration  against the alleged mismanagement of the hospital administration.

Raising slogans against the hospital administration, the protesting attendants assembled at the front gate of the hospital and blocked the traffic movement for almost one hour.

They alleged that the hospital security was asking for bribe for even petty things.

“From entry into the hospital to birth of a child, all they want is money,” alleged an attendant. “Yesterday, they didn’t handover the child to the family because the attendant was not able to pay the bribe, then we collected 10-20 bucks each and gave her.”The protest on the main road disrupted the movement of the traffic and most of the light vehicles were seen skipping the routes and using some arterial routes to reach their destinations.
