Srinagar/May,6:Students of Kashmir University Sunday afternoon offered funeral prayers in absentia in the University campus for their Assistant Professor killed in a gunfight in Shopian district’s Badigam village early Sunday morning.
Reports said chanting pro freedom slogans both male and as well as female students came out of their hostel blocks and offered funeral prayers in absentia and for the slain Assistant Professor.
Dr Mohammad Raafi Bhat, a sociology professor was killed along with Hizb commander Saddam Padder and three others in a gunfight at Shopian’s Badigam village.
Bhat hails from central Kashmir’s Chunduna village of Ganderbal district .
