Srinagar/May, 6: Kashmir University here on Sunday announced that class work in the University shall remain suspended for two days i., on Monday May 7 and Tuesday May 8 as a precautionary measure.
Five Hizb militants, including a professor working in the sociology department of the Kashmir University, were killed during a gunfight with militants in Shopian district of south Kashmir today.
The professor, identified as Muhammad Rafi Bhat, was reported missing on Friday afternoon. His disappearance had triggered protests at the varsity yesterday.
