Vicious media campaign against Kathua case investigation

After the BJP and hard core affiliates of sangh parivar the national news channels have now launched a vicious campaign against the crime branch investigation just to stall the trial of the accused in the court. The Jammu based news papers are now trying to create an impression that spot reports of some discredited national news are distorting the facts brought to light in the charge sheets by the Crime Branch of Jammu & Kashmir polices. Jammu based news paper in their news reports shamelessly call the reports of national news channel authentic and charge sheets of the Crime Branch of Jammu & Kashmir Police totally fraud. For the first time in the history of the crime investigation in the country, the media in its reports in any part of country is accusing the investigators of a premier investigative agency of any state government of committing frauds in the investigations on the lines of regional and religious bias and simultaneously paints a picture of truthfulness in the stories of national news channels telecasted half a dozen times in a day to cast doubts on the investigation conducted by a premier investigative agency of the state government. Portraying the accused of rape and murder of a minor girl as innocents despite having a clinching evidence of the medical examination report of the Delhi Forensic Laboratory in hand can’t be acceptable to any government which says ‘the investigation will be taken to logical conclusion’.

The trial courts never and never act on the reports of News papers and TV Channels but on the investigations conducted by the investigative agencies of the state and central governments.

The cooked story of national news channels about one of the accused named Vishal shows that media houses both in Jammu and Delhi are trying to prick holes in the crime branch investigation only to either stall or lengthen the process of trial in the court of law. Shockingly the said news channel is giving credence to the statements of the roommates of the accused Vishal but not the findings of the investigation report of the Crime Branch of Jammu & Kashmir police. Surprising it is that national news channels never and never bothered to reach out to the people in Khansahib area of Budgam district when an army major tied a civilian to the bonnet of an army vehicle on election day and no one in Jammu and Delhi raised bothered to demand action against the army major for tying the civilian to the bonnet of his vehicle on election day. Investigations into unpardonable offences are not to be conducted at the whims and wishes of the people of any religion, any region or any political school of thought. The trial courts never and never act on the reports of News papers and TV Channels but on the investigations conducted by the investigative agencies of the state and central governments.
