Pulwama/May, 4: Clashes erupted in night intervening Thursday and Friday in Drubgam village of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district soon after government forces raided the house of slain Hizb commander Sameer ‘Tiger’ and “took down” his posters.
Reports said government forces arrived in Drubgam the native village of slain ‘Samir Tiger’ in late evening houho Thursday night and took down his posters.
Reports said announcements were made over the public address systems of the mosques, appealing people to come out of their homes to stop the “vandalism”.
Soon, clashes erupted as the locals took to streets and held protests against the forces’ action.
Sameer was killed along with his associate Aqib Mushtaq in a gunfight in his native village on Monday.
