Srinagar: An application was moved by an official wherein he had mentioned that one unknown person had impersonated him and also approached top echelons of J&K Bank for some work.
The J&K Bank authorities took up the matter with the concerned department for verification which proved to be incorrect thereby exposing the fake identity of the said person.
Accordingly, a case FIR No 33/2018 under section 419 RPC was registered at Police Station Kothi Bagh and investigation was set into motion.
During the course of investigation, Police identified and arrested a doctor who had impersonated in this case namely Dr Nauman Farooq son of Farooq Ahmad resident of Sarai Bala, Srinagar.
Further investigation is going on.
