DDC Poonch credits 45.70 lakh under PMAY into beneficiaries’ accounts

Poonch: The District Development Commissioner Mohammad Aijaz Asad Saturday credited Rs 45.70 Lacs under Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana- Grameen (PMAY-G) as Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) into the accounts of 95 identified beneficiaries in an ongoing celebrations under Gram Swaraj Abhiyan, here Saturday.

Pertinent to mention that the first, second and third instalments were transferred using electronic- Fund Management System (e-FMS) as event marked the celebration of Greh Parvesh under Gram Swaraj Abhiyan.

The function was attended by ACD Mukhtar Ahmed Shiekh and Block Development Officers including Ashiq Rafiq, Qadeer Charak, Mustafa Kamal and Israr Mir apart  from beneficiaries.

The 95 beneficiaries included 12 from Balakote block, 8 from Bafliaz, 7 from Mandi, 14 from Mankote, 13 from Mendhar, 19 from Nangali Sahib Sayein, 4 from Poonch and 18 from Surankote block.

On the occasion the DDC also handed over keys to the identified beneficiaries for 50 houses which have been completed under PMAY(G) .

Speaking on the occasion the DDC impressed upon the officers to complete the rest of the targets under PMAY for 2017-18 physically and financially and also initiate the process for taking up cases as per targets of 2018-19 so that the targeted families are benefitted.

To achieve complete saturation under the PMAY scheme, the officers were directed to conduct Gram Sabhas at Panchayat level for enlisting families belonging to AAY and BPL categories which are left out from baseline survey so that matter is taken up with the government for inclusion of these families.
