Baramulla: Jammu and Kashmir police recovered a girl and arrest her kidnapper in this north Kashmir, a police spokesman said on Saturday evening.
He said Police Post Fruit Mandi Sopore received a report from a person that his minor daughter was kidnapped by a person.
On receipt of this information, Police acted swiftly and a team led by Divisional Officer of Police initiated searches to trace the girl.
The minor girl was rescued by Sopore police today from the clutches of kidnapper identified as Mohammad Rustum Sheikh son of Assadullah Sheikh resident of Gantmulla Baramulla. He said after medico legal formalities she was handed over to her parents.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 103/18 under section 363 RPC was already registered. Accused has been arrested and further investigation is going on. Locals have hailed the swift action of Police,he added.
