Srinagar: A grand farewell party was organized here bid farewell to the outgoing Joint Director Nazir Ahmad Mir who attained superannuation Friday after serving for more than 30 years.
Nazir Ahmad Mir was remembered as a very dedicated officer by the employees of the department speaking on the occasion.
Besides the Handicrafts Department Mir has served various departments at various important positions like CEO Wullar Manasbal Authority, CEO Gulmarg Development Authority, CEO Sonmarg Development Authority, MD J&K Cable Car Project, Joint Director J&K Tourism Department. While on deputation to the central government he held some important positions in the External Affairs and other ministries.
The officers and employees who attended the farewell function hailed the retiring officer and wished him the best in his life ahead.
