New Delhi/April,16: The father of Kathua gang rape-and-murder victim the eight year old minor girl of Rasana village of Kathua district of has approached the Supreme Court to seek transfer of the trial outside Jammu and Kashmir.
A media report said, the father of the eight-year-old victim approached the apex court to seek safety, security and transfer of the case outside the state.It said that court is likely to hear the plea at 2 pm today. Meanwhile, trials of the accused in the horrific case began at Kathua court today.
The gangrape and murder of the eight-year-old girl, who belonged to nomadic Muslim community, took place in the Kathua district in January. After being missing for a week, her body was found on January 17.Eight accused have been arrested in the case.
