Srinagar/April,1: Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) has called for valleywide shutdown today and tomorrow in response to the killing of eight militants in two separate gunfight in Anantnag and Shopian areas in south Kashmir .
The JRL, comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik, has asked people to suspend business and other activities and offer funeral prayers in absentia at 4 pm across Kashmir valley.
At least eight militants, including top commanders, were killed in separate gunfights in Anantnag and Shopian districts.
At least four militants have been surrounded by the forces in Kachdoora village.
