Rajouri: Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs and Tribal Affairs Choudhary Zulfkar Ali Saturday congratulated the people of Rajouri for getting three new Additional Deputy Commissioners (ADCs) in Nowshera, Sunderbani and Kalakote in addition to two existing at Koteranka and Rajouri.

“The step has been taken to provide better administrative services to the people of Rajouri at their doorsteps,” the Minister said, adding that this will increase efficiency in the working of the administration, besides speedy redressal of grievances and better monitoring of the development works.

He further said Rajouri is very large district comprising of 12 tehsils located on the Actual Line of Control where people live under the threat of cross border firing. This step will definitely prove beneficial for the people of the border areas of the district, he added.

Highlighting the various initiatives during the tenure of former Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, the Minister said Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University and prestigious Mughal Road are some of the best decisions taken by the visionary CM for the development of the backward area of Rajouri.

The Minister thanked the Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti for fulfilling the genuine demand of the people of Rajouri.

He said the CM listened to the demands and grievances of the people during her outreach programs and issued instructions to the concerned officers for implementing the decisions at an earliest to provide succour to the common masses.

He said the government’s priority is to provide all basic amenities to the people at their doorsteps and the decision of taking the administrative services to the last hamlet will go a long way in ensuring equitable development of the district.

He said the government is keen to develop backward regions of the state  and has taken many initiatives in this regard to provide enhanced infrastructural facilities in these areas so that people get basic facilities to lead a dignified and quality life.
