SrinagarMarch,10: Life returned to normal in Shopian district of south Kashmir on Saturday after five-day shutdown against killings of two militants and four civilians in a shhitout in Pahnoo village last Sunday.
Shops and business establishments opened across the district after five days. Both private and public transport plied normally.
A large number of people were seen busy in purchasing different household items from the market.
There was no major deployment of police and paramilitary troopers in the township.
On Sunday (January 4) evening, four civilians and two militants were killed in army firing at Pahnoo village.
While the locals said the civilians were killed in cold blood, army said they retaliated after their vehicle was fired at by the militants.
