Kathua rape-n-murder case: Sagar castigates Singh for defending BJP Ministers

Srinagar: National Conference legislator and General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar Monday castigated Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh for defending their ministers visit to Rasana in Hira Nagar area of Kathua district where an eight year nomad girl was raped and murdered.
“It is irony that BJP which is the part of government are taking on Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and are trying hard to save the culprits,” Sagar said.
He said Crime Branch has done a thorough investigation that is in last stage while the BJP not only wants to influence the investigation but also wants to give a free passage to the culprits.
“Dr Singh should think before making any statement. How can he (Nirmal Singh) say that the government will take appropriate call over CBI inquiry into Kathua incident when Crime Branch is already investigating the case? It is BJP that is communalizing the atmosphere,” Sagar said.
He expressed shock over the behavior of BJP Ministers who had gone to Heera Nagar to defend culprits. “It is unfortunate that rape and murder case is being politicized by the government itself,” he said.
