Police detains Yasin Malik in Srinagar

Srinagar: Police on Thursday detained Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik at Abi Guzar here after Malik tried to take out a protest march towards city center.
A large posse of police reached the JKLF’s office at Abi Guzar and detained Yasin Malik who tried to take out a rally towards Lal Chowk against the rape and murder of Kathua minor Asifa Bano.
Earlier, Malik addressed a press conference, which was also supposed to be addressed by the heads of Hurriyat factions, at JKLF’s Abi Guzar office.
During the press conference Malik extended his support to Jammu Muslims in their demand for the justice to Kathua minor.
Mirwaiz Umar Farooq while condemning his house arrest to bar him from JRL’s joint presser at Abi Guzar said that nothing can be more evil and shameless than supporting the rapists and murderers of an 8 year old girl child.
