J&K Bank & HPCL sign MoU

Srinagar/April 5:  J&K Bank and Hindustan Petroleum Company Limited (HPCL) Wednesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) by viture of which J&K Bank Point of Sale (PoS) will be installed at HPCL petrol pumps across the state.
The MoU was signed and exchanged in presence of J&K Bank Chairman & CEO Parvez Ahmed. Vice President Sushil Kumar Gupta represented J&K Bank while as Chief Regional Manager (J&K Retail Region) signed and exchanged the MoU on behalf of HPCL. J&K Bank Executive President S. S. Sehgal, Senior President S K Bhat, Vice President Arvind Gupta, HPCL Deputy Sales Manager Haroon Rashid and other senior officers of the bank were present on the occasion.
The J&K Bank Chairman & CEO Parvez Ahmed commenting on the relationship said, “I am happy that we have joined hands with a big brand like HPCL which is one of the leaders in extending essential services and products to the people. The relationship will add value to the delivery of essential services and it would be general public that would get benefitted at the end. I see the relationship between two big brands, J&K Bank and HPCL, having a strong network of outlets across the state on long term basis. It’s just a beginning. In near future we shall be devising initiatives aimed at enhancing the brand value of both the companies and simultaneously benefitting the customers.”
“Underprivileged section of the society is a huge concern for all of us. We would love to help them to get rid of unfriendly fuel (firewood) and give them access to LPG facility. This would definitely help them to get rid of health related problems and at the same time it will help to control environmental pollution,” said Parvez. Notably, the chairman issued on-the-spot instructions to the bank’s product development team to re-look at Aan Posh-e-Teli, Yeli Wan Poshe Scheme which is a financial assistance scheme for procuring LPG connections at liberal terms and conditions.
The chairman also revealed that the bank shall be launching some corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives in association with HPCL wherein sanitation, environmental protection and public utility system shall be focused.
