Shopian: South Kashmir’s Shopian district observed a shutdown for the consecutive 11th day against the civilian killings.
The district witnessed the killing of five civilians and two local militants from past 10 days.
Reports said that all the shops and business establishments remained closed while public and private transport also remained off the roads.
No separatist or militant outfit called the shutdown.
An eye witness said that some shops opened on Saturday morning in the town, but were soon forced to close down.
Meanwhile authorities restored the 2g mobile Internet service in twin districts of Shopian and Pulwama after remaining suspended for ten days.
However, high speed 3g and 4g services continued to remain shut in these districts.
