Srinagar: Lt Gen AK Bhatt has taken over as the new Corps Commander of army’s Srinagar-based 15 Corps.
He will be the 47th Corps Commander of army’s 15 Corps and has succeeded Lt Gen JS Sandhu. Bhatt was commissioned into the regiment of 9th Gorkha Rifles (Chindits) command and has an experience of 36 years in the military, said a spokesman.
Before taking over as Chinar Corps Commander, Bhatt has served as Director General Military Operations (DGMO) in Army Headquarters.
After assuming the charge, Bhatt convened a series of meetings, said the spokesman.
