Anantnag | Oct, 31:To commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and mark Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day), people in Anantnag Saturday witnessed the live telecast of the address of the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, followed by the administration of the National Unity Pledge.
Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat, DIG Javid Iqbal Matoo and SSP Anantnag, Amod Ashok Nagpure, along with district officers, officials, students and local residents, participated in the programme.
Participants watched the Prime Minister’s address and on the occasion, National Unity Pledge was also administered, with participants pledging to uphold the unity, integrity and security of the nation.
