Participating in the debate on the adjournment motion over civilian killings in Shopian, the NC MLA Ali Mohammad Sagar demanded the arrest of army personnel involved in the killing of two youths in South Kashmir’s Shopian district.
Sagar while speaking in the assembly during discussion on Shopian killings said that the government should arrest all the army personnel named in the FIR. “I am hopeful that Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti will announce the arrest of these personnel,” Sagar said.
The Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) demanded the withdrawal of murder case against Army personnel allegedly involved in killing of youth in Shopian District.
BJP MLA RS Pathania while speaking in the Assembly over Shopian killings said that the government should withdraw FIR registered against the Army personnel and lodge fresh FIR without naming anyone.
