Srinagar|Oct, 28: Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat and General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Army’s Srinagar-based Chinar Corps, Lt Gen Balbir Singh, on Wednesday reviewed ongoing security operations in South Kashmir, officials said.
The review was attended by officers and formations deployed across South Kashmir, according to Kashmir Zone Police.
“Sh Nalin Prabhat, DGP, along with GOC XV Corps, reviewed the ongoing operations, with all formations deployed in South Kashmir,” Kashmir Zone Police said in a post on X.
A senior official told Kashmir Horizon that the meeting aimed to review the operational situation across South Kashmir, assess ongoing security measures and strengthen coordination between the Army and police formations deployed in the region.
The meeting brought together senior police and Army leadership overseeing security operations in the area. However, officials did not disclose details of the specific operations discussed or indicate whether any fresh directions were issued during the meeting.
The review underscores continued coordination between the Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police in overseeing the security situation across South Kashmir.
