Four Vehicles Seized In Shopian Illegal Mining Operations: Police

Shopian | October 26: Police on Monday seized three dumpers and one platform platform involved in unauthorized mineral extraction across Turkwangam and Heerpora areas of Shopian.
In a statement issued here on Monday, Police said during routine patrolling, a police party from Police Post Turkwangam intercepted and seized three dumpers allegedly engaged in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals without valid royalty documents. In this connection a case under FIR No. 134/2026 was registered at Police Station Zainapora under relevant provisions of law. In a similar action, a police party from Police Station Heerpora intercepted and seized one platform involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals without mandatory permission. In this regard a case under FIR No. 121/2026 under relevant provisions of law has been registered in Police Station Heerpora and investigation has been initiated.
