Jammu, Oct 26: Several shops were gutted in a massive fire that broke out at Shiv Market near Jammu Tawi Railway Station late last night.
Officials told GNS the fire broke out at Shiv Market opposite Jammu Railway Station and quickly spread, engulfing several shops in the market.
Soon after the incident, fire tenders were rushed to the spot. J&K Police and locals also joined the efforts to douse the flames.
According to initial reports, 35-40 shops were gutted in the incident. However, no loss of life or injury was reported.
The cause of the fire is being ascertained, while police have taken cognizance of the matter.
