Emphasising advance planning and interdepartmental coordination, the MLA directed all departments to ensure adequate stocks of essential commodities, medicines and fuel, and remain prepared to respond promptly to emergencies arising from heavy snowfall.

The meeting was attended by concerned district and sectoral officers, who briefed the MLA on the preparedness measures undertaken by their respective departments.
