Baramulla | October, 22: Security forces apprehended two overground workers (OGWs) of terrorists in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, recovering a Turkish-made pistol, ammunition, and two Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs).
Officials said the operation was jointly executed by the Army’s 52 Rashtriya Rifles and local police in the Darpura Nursery area near Delina Ghat following specific intelligence inputs.
Reports said both individuals belong to the Chinkipora area of Sopore. “Preliminary assessment suggests that the accused were working as overground workers (OGWs) and were involved in transporting weapons and explosives for terrorists,” an official statement confirmed. Further legal investigations into the network are currently underway.
