NC President Demands Action over Bus Attack in Haryana

Budgam | October, 19: National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah on Monday stated that the expansion of the Jammu and Kashmir Council of Ministers will take place once Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha returns to the Valley.
Talking to reporters in Central Kashmir, Dr Farooq said, “The cabinet expansion will take place soon after the Lieutenant Governor returns.” Reacting to question on likely resignation of Srinagar MP Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi scheduled for November 3, Dr Farooq Abdullah remarked, “If Ruhullah wants to resign, he is free to do so. It makes no difference.”
Commenting on the recent attack on a Kashmir-bound passenger bus in Haryana, the NC chief stated that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has urged the authorities to take strict action to prevent similar occurrences and demanded adequate compensation for the damages incurred. “Certain miscreants were attempting to disturb peace and create turmoil in the country and the matter required immediate attention from the authorities,” he said, adding that CM Omar has cautioned the Central Government that the situation could “deteriorate” if such incidents are not addressed promptly.
