Kupwara | October, 19: A 55-year-old pedestrian lost his life after being struck by a fast-moving Tata Mobile vehicle in the Kralgund area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Monday morning.
Officials said the accident occurred near Budbugh, Ashpora when the vehicle bearing registration number JK09-6657 hit the victim. Witnesses said the injured man was immediately rushed to Government Medical College (GMC) Handwara, where attending doctors declared him brought dead on arrival. The deceased has been identified as Riyaz Ahmad, a local resident of Budbugh, Ashpora. Local police have registered a case and initiated necessary legal procedures.
